Appointments System

Our expectation is for patients to be seen within 48 - 72hours for a doctor and 24 - 48 hours for a nurse. If you need to see a doctor or a nurse of your choice, this appointment time may take longer. Advance booking is available. 

We now have online appointment booking available; please come into the surgery to register with your identification and proof of address and complete a form. You will also need to have your own email address for this service. If you need any more information please contact reception on 01708 331802.

A lot of our appointments now are initially done over the telephone. Please note you will be called from a withheld number.

CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT

Urgent Appointments

You will not be able to see a doctor of your choice. We request that you first find out the earliest available appointment and only if your condition is so urgent that it cannot wait till then, request to be seen as an emergency.

There are a few morning telephone 'book on the day' appointments available, otherwise patients who need to see a doctor urgently will have to call the surgery before 10:00. We also have a few emegency appointment available in the evening before 18:00, you would need to call  between 16:00 and 17:00. 

Telephone Consultations

Patients who urgently need to speak to a doctor or do not need to see a doctor are encouraged to ring 01708 343004 between 08:30 – 10:00 and 16:00 – 17:00 and talk to the doctor on call.

Kindly note we do not provide medical certificates on emergency appointments or over the telephone, we do however back-date certificates if necessary. You will be sent a warning letter if you do not follow the practice policy.

Extended Hours

We now offer evening appointments on a Monday or a Tuesday from 18:30pm to 19:45 to help out our patients that cannot get here during the day.

GP Access Hubs

There are  two Extended Access Hubs; one at North Street Medical Centre and the other at Rosewood Medical Centre. GPs are available from 18:30 – 10:00 Monday - Friday and 12:00 – 18:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Call 020 3770 1888 to book an appointment from 14:00 – 21:00 Monday - Friday and 09:00 – 17:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back during or after the morning surgery. It may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or it would be more appropriate to send a community nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital admission.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
